We decided to skip the long drive to the city and tour our own local “gaming districts.” From the neon glow of the lounge corners to the thrilling action of the checkout aisles, we hit every local venue to bring you the ultimate, definitive ranking of Sicamous’ true entertainment scene.

7. The Low Stakes Bust: Husky House Diner and Casino

The Vibe: Domestic chaos.

We tried to kick off our high-roller tour at the Husky House Diner and Casino. Unfortunately, this “gaming floor” is a shell of what it used to be.

• The Crowd: Way too many children and non-gambling travelers.
• The Interruption: At one point in time this was a 24 hour casino catering to late night gamblers. While you can still gamble around the clock the lounge closes quite early.
• The Verdict: The keno machine works fine, but the sheer volume of people just stopping to use the bathroom instead of chasing rent money makes it a low-tier casino experience.

6. The Shells V-Power Casino

The Vibe: Not for casual gamers

The action inside what the locals affectionately call the V-Pow was incredibly intense with standing room only. The thrill of the action was there, but there were limited options for when you want to take a break, sit down and analyze your loses. Their hot food Menu was also the worst of all the casinos we visited. The Verdict, The V-pow is all about gaming, for other pleasantries you should go else where.

5. 7/11’s 24 hour Casino

The Vibe: 24 hour Dream Chasing

The casino that never sleeps. It features all your standard gaming options, a row of seating, and a 24 hour kitchen so you never have to leave, the perfect spot for lady luck to offer you her blessings. Our favorite highlight was the self serve virgin margarita bar in the back. As long as you don’t cashout the margaritas are bottomless and come in a wild variety of flavors.

With the 7/11 casino being open 24 hours it safe to say you can leave this for last on your tour.

4. Brothers Pub & Casion

The Vibe: The late-night rush.

The first pub on our list is a solid stop for a late-night digital gaming. It features Texas Hold’em, Keno, and pull-tabs, positioning it as a local hotspot for varied action. The venue provides a casual atmosphere suitable for gaming while enjoying a drink. The crowd is friendly, and winning a 50-cent payout feels like breaking the bank. It brings exactly the kind of casual lounge energy you want when chasing a modest digital jackpot. Recent renovations have left considerably less space on the gaming floor, but management seems to think it was a good idea.

3. Moose Mulligans Harbour Front Casino

Hopefully the floor boss will catch them before they clean the stack.

2. Sicamous Royal Canadian Casino Br. 99

The Vibe: Community gaming with a side of meat draws.

Just missing out on the top spot is Casino Branch 99 on Main Street. While it is a local institution for community events, cheap pool, and Friday night specials, it offers a surprisingly intense gaming alternative.

• The Action: Forget digital screens; the real high-stakes adrenaline here happens during the Saturday afternoon Meat Draws.
• The Tension: It is incredibly friendly inside, but the anxiety in the room when a prime rib roast is on the line easily rivals the high-roller tables of the Bellagio.
• The Verdict: A high-ranking community hub. The only reason it isn’t number one is that if you lose the meat draw, you walk away completely empty-handed with no consolation steak.

1. The Uncontested Winner: The Chevron & A&W

The Vibe: High-octane luxury meets comfort food.

Move over, Las Vegas. If you are looking for the absolute peak of Sicamous gaming, this is our flagship resort. You walk in for a Teen Burger and leave holding the keys to the kingdom—or maybe a $5 scratch-and-win ticket.

• The Action: The scratch-card selection behind the glass counter is unmatched.
• The Atmosphere: Brightly lit, bustling, and smells heavily of fresh onion rings.
• The Winning Strategy: Grab a root beer, pick up a keno card, and use a A&W spoon to scratch your way to riches. It has the energy, the prizes, and the snacks. The Chevron/A&W takes the crown as Sicamous’ best “casino.”

• The Main Street Jackpot: The multi-business commercial hub on Main St has officially beat the odds and reopened under new management. The Pizza Hut floor is fully operational alongside the Petro-Canada station, offering fuel and food combinations that feel like walking away with the grand prize.
