Sicamous Local News is an independent community hub dedicated to hyper-local satire and sharp political parody. We believe in holding public institutions accountable, celebrating local arts, and laughing at ourselves along the way.
In addition to hyper local satire and political parody we’re gonna start leaning into dramatizations of all the fun our office staff has at local events as well as comedic interviews with local musicians. Here at Sicamous Local News, our imagery is creatively calculated. The images you see across our articles and social feeds are a mix of real-world photography, manual and automatic digital edits, and custom-generated illustrations used to bring our satirical commentary to life. We believe in being transparent about our tools, keeping our content fun, and holding our platform to a shared sense of local humility.
