Shirtless Lawn Mowing The Tops Say Locals

Sicamous, BC – July 14th 2026

Lawn mowing season is upon us and with that comes hoards of shirtless, shameless, middle aged blokes.

“Your front lawn is not a beach nor a gym”, shouted one resident into the abyss also know as the internet, but the local shirtless population was quick to push back, saying we will not be told when and where to wear shirts.

Another resident was quick to chime in “I never knew we had lawn mowing laws in place”, while another remarked “my neighbor mows his lawn in his underwear”.

Some residents did show remorse stating they “only took their shirt off for a minute.” While others claimed clothing was “optional” during the summer months.

Local RCMP detachment refused to comment on the matter stating they have “real crimes to worry about. Cant you people just figure out when and where to wear clothes on your own.”

While the exact cause of the shirtless mowing pandemic is unknown, many speculate it to be the heat or a cultural thing. Regardless of what you believe the cause to be it does appear shirtless lawn mowing is here to stay in Sicamous, with many residents offering to wear less while mowing there lawns.
